Money Matters looks at issues relating to personal finance for a young person.

Number Partner Games

The Savings Game is an interactive game that
gives students a taste of what it is like to
manage their finances. By transferring money
between accounts the students save up for a
big purchase.

Web Wheeler Dealer is a game of entrepreneurship
that also improves a student’s maths skills. Students
buy and sell on the internet using the game board
as a web browser. Having made their purchases
they then see the value of their dealing rise or fall.
Money is made or lost on the spin of a wheel.

A number of our other programmes have numeracy elements within the activity.

Things you should know about finance

Specially written with 17 - 19 year olds in mind, this 1 hour presentation looks at personal finance and gives advice on what to look out for when thinking of taking out credit cards and loans.
